The spring is here and we’re slowly putting winter coats and warm sweaters away. What a joyful time! One of the biggest trends that we’ll see this season is the maxi-dress…..and there are many to choose from:

- Flowers and graphic patterns
- Light materials like silk and chiffon
Are maxi dresses only for tall girls?
That’s just a bad excuse. Maxi dresses are not only made for stick-thin, 6 feet models – we can all wear these wonderful, romantic dresses and look great. Just look at the beautiful Nicole Richie – she’s 5’1 and wears maxi-dresses very often, always looking great!
Two golden rules
- If you’re tall: you can wear flat shoes with your maxi-dress without looking like a curtain walking around – you’ll look like a goddess!
- If you’re short: you can definitely mix the maxi dress with some cool wedges or heels!

To some of us, dresses are something we stay away from other than if it’s a special occasion. I was one of those women for quiet some time. I felt too dressed up when I wore a dress, but after I tried wearing dresses and skirts for that matter, I found out that it was all in my head. Dresses can make us feel beautiful, feminine, sophisticated and sexy – there’s nothing to be afraid of!
